At 40 years old, will be the fifth-oldest active player in the NFL this season. The only players older than Brady are all kickers or punters.

New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, who is returning from back surgery that cut short his 2016 season after just eight games, told the Boston Herald that he has made a full-fledged commitment to work with Tom Brady’s TB12 Sports Therapy Center.

Gronkowski, 28, told the Herald the work at the center, which is located at Patriot Place adjacent to Gillette Stadium, is an addition to his regular work with the team’s strength coaches.

“I definitely feel like a brand-new guy just being able to do exercises here … that help stabilize your core … I feel looser. I feel my mobility has increased a lot. I feel way more pliable,” he told the newspaper.

Gronkowski has been doing plenty of that through the first six practices of training camp, four of which have been held in full pads. Returning from back surgery that limited his 2016 season to eight games, Gronkowski said his prior injury has responded well.

“I’m good to go, out there every play,” he said, highlighting how he hasn’t had any restrictions. “Whatever they need me to do.”

Gronkowski said Wednesday’s practice, which was held in 90-degree heat and humid conditions, was just what was needed from a conditioning standpoint. As he finished his media interview, he showed his size 16 cleats to a few reporters and how sweat was dripping through them.

But there’s a purpose in here, as subtle as its modesty, and to understand it, you have to understand this about Brady: When he wants something to be a reflection of himself, he labors over it. For instance, in high school, college and even in the NFL, Brady always washed his own car. Nobody could do it better. Nobody sweated every detail the way he did. And now, because he no longer washes his car — “My wife would kill me for wasting water,” he says — spaces like this represent a part of him. In fact, Brady seems to have designed this passage for those who spend the most time in it, hoping they’ll someday understand and appreciate everything that occurred in between the Michigan helmet on one side and the Patriots helmet on the other.

In an effort to be a one-stop shop for the most important information as it pertains to your fantasy draft preparation, here’s a look at my quarterback projections for the 2017 season. I’ve also included a few of the more vital team stats from last season, including each team’s pass percentage, the number of pass plays and  cheap nfl jerseys  china actual quarterback pass attempts. In order to grade offensive line effectiveness as it pertains to quarterbacks, I’ve also included average pocket time and time allowed to throw (coming via the great team at Next Gen Stats). The difference between the two is that “time to throw” includes only plays that resulted in a pass attempt, whereas “average pocket time” measures the time between the actual snap and a pass attempt or quarterback pressure. And of course, fantasy points against (strength of schedule) information is also included at the end.

He has the “TB12 Sports Therapy Center” by Gillette Stadium, which is open to the public. He sells a nutritional manual on his website for $200, where he also peddles TB12 branded snacks, protein bars and granola. Brady also has a deal with meal delivery company Purple Carrot. Brady-inspired meals, which are high in protein, plant based and gluten free, sell for $78 for six meals.

The Patriots did not list Brady as having a concussion at any point in the 2016 season, and no concussion or head injury is listed for Brady in his professional career, according to Stats Pass. New England did report leg, thigh and ankle injuries for Brady during the 2016 calendar year.

Famously drafted in the sixth round (199th overall) in 2000, Brady has since thrown for 61,582 yards (currently the fourth-most ever) with 456 touchdown passes (also the fourth-most in history), five wins and four MVP awards under Belichick’s direction. Basically, he and Belichick have formed the best coach-quarterback combination of all time, edging out Tom Landry and Roger Staubach. And while Brady clearly has an abundance of inherent talent, I was surprised by just how great he proved to be under Belichick. You wonder how things might have turned out for Brady if he’d gone to another team (and coach).

The football world’s freaking out over New England’s second pursuit of perfection, but Belichick is staying level-headed. The Hoodie benches his starter and his backup ahead of the Pats’ Week 17 tilt against the Jets in Foxborough. New England loses, but bigger things await.
